Chipping Away At Churchianity: October 2011

Chipping Away At Churchianity. Sinners, welcome.Pharisees, get lost! The ramblings of a female curate. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. I'm not sure that the above cartoon is really the way forward for our churches. However, I really love this passage from 1 Peter as a description of how church should be. If it was always like this, then it really would be brilliant! I am just glad that I get glimpses of this on occasion, through the actions of some very special people. 8206;1 Peter: 4: 7b-11. 930am - CW Com...

Chipping Away At Churchianity. Sinners, welcome.Pharisees, get lost! The ramblings of a female curate. Friday, November 05, 2010. Apologies for my silence. This has been caused by the sheer busyness of life as a curate in a three parish benefice and not through lack of interest. It is sufficient to say that I am loving my curacy and can't quite believe that I get to do this job every day. The work is varied and exciting, the people lovely and supportive and the surrounding are beautiful. Awesome Inc....

Chipping Away At Churchianity. Sinners, welcome.Pharisees, get lost! The ramblings of a female curate. Saturday, July 24, 2010. I love this Blog. It has shades of some of the more fundamentalist of Adrian Plass characters and is often scarily accurate! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hermeneutics and Human Dignity. Chipping Away At Churchianity. Sinners, welcome.Pharisees, get lost! The ramblings of a female curate. Sunday, August 01, 2010. I thought I'd better update my blog as the last few weeks have been very busy. I have started my curacy and am really enjoying it so far. I love the variety of what I am doing, the people I am meeting and the new challenges which are being thrown my way. This is what I need to Do.it is also what I need to BE.a person of prayer. Random musings of a pastor's wife: halloween
http://pastasmissus.blogspot.com/2012/10/halloween.html
Random musings of a pastor's wife. Wednesday, 31 October 2012. I'm off to a Halloween party tonight at Guides. No idea what it will involve, as the Guides have planned and organised it all themselves. So it is with some trepidation that I go. I imagine there will be apple bobbing, and some sort of food. If they do the pancakes coated in syrup on a string, then they're not leaving until the floor is spotless! Is it the thin end of the wedge? Should I be refusing to have anything to do with it? Beaker Folk...

Chipping Away At Churchianity. Sinners, welcome.Pharisees, get lost! The ramblings of a female curate. Tuesday, February 08, 2011. A study of the Apostle Peter. At first glance….Peter wasn’t exactly a great prospect…. As I said, on paper it doesn’t look great…at first glance anyway…. So why was it that Jesus chose him to lead the early church, what was it about his character which made him the right man for the job? When the counsel commanded him not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus, this once relu...

Chipping Away At Churchianity. Sinners, welcome.Pharisees, get lost! The ramblings of a female curate. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. But the upside is.the view from the top is spectacular. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. A week on Thursday I go on my pre ordination retreat. We are fortunate enough to have David Runcorn as retreat leader, whose books have been used on the course and who I am told is very good. It is all very exciting. But am I ready for this?
