The Ordinary Life | beautiful things from the dust

Beautiful things from the dust. Same old same old. These are words that I have had a hard time swallowing for the longest time. Finally, I am beginning to realize that everything loses its initial excitement and glamour after awhile. I can’t be satisfied with the same old same old. Or can I? I am not satisfied with where I am at. Or am I? I moved to Richmond a year ago to do an internship with a mission organization. It is no less cool than when I first arrived, and yet at some point it slipped into ...

Beautiful things from the dust. Why We Need Religion. Note from the writer:. This was my diagnostic essay for Univ 111 at VCU. It is a bit of a general argument in defense of religion. I did not get into any discussion of absolute truth. I just wanted to give an argument for religion, because some people would say that the world would be better without. Why We Need Religion. Beautiful things from the dust. Month: May, 2015. May 18, 2015. It has been said that there is no faith without doubt, and I totally agree. doubt has been a huge part of my faith journey. It is one that has never gone away, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I feel glad that I am an individual who thinks differently. You think different, too. I’m glad that it’s this way. The church is not a static thing. It grows, changes, and evolves. It is influenced by it’s members. I gave up the English Language.

Beautiful things from the dust. It’s been awhile since I have written a blog. No, I don’t regret not writing, but maybe I should. I have been in the Middle East, which is actually the reason behind why I am writing this blog, because there is just so much to say, with little time to sit down and spell out the words. Nice is one of my catch phrases. I use it a lot. I’ve had some really good days. I have learned about God’s grace in new ways. I can’t wait to see you in Richmond and tell you more! I gave up...

Beautiful things from the dust. Social Media: Background and Insight on Three Important Platforms. This is the rough draft of my second paper for school. I need to just about double the word count. I may need to add another social media application to talk about. WordPress, if you aren’t familiar, is an open source platform for anyone who wants to make a blog. The benefit to using WordPress is that you don’t need to know how to code. October 23, 2014. October 23, 2014 at 6:13 pm. Enter your comment here.

My life: Post-intern | beautiful things from the dust

Beautiful things from the dust. When I got back to the states from the Middle East this fall, I immediately began attending classes at VCU. I also returned to working at Hillside, only now part-time. I am living with two other guys. There’s Chris and then there’s James, who I have been living with over the past year. Chris is one of the seven Hillside Interns this school year. James, well, if you don’t know who James is, then, you’re missing out. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! December 17, 2014.

Beautiful things from the dust. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. As a result of believing in Jesus, I came to the conclusion that wherever I am, I must be a missionary. I must be a representative of the gospel, whatever that looks like. 43% of all people groups are unreached. We can change this statistic. July 27, 2015. One Comment to “Refresh Button”. Beautiful things from the dust. I am inspired by shapes and colors…. The Face and Fingers. It’s all about perspective. If you look closely enough at any object, it can become indistinguishable. In my life, I can get so focused on one small detail that I lose perspective. I lose sight of the big picture. God is painting a giant masterpiece. A mosaic. A collage or something. It’s gonna be sweet. He allows us to be colors and shapes. Apart from Him, that is all we are,. Just as in life. February 16, 2015.
