Six N Pajamas: November 2014
http://sixnpajamas.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. We traveled 13 hours - through 8 states - this year to give thanks with dear friends. I could write about the technical pieces of our trip: the fun the kids had, the sites that were seen, the food that was consumed (and how delicious it was). I am abundantly thankful for all of this, but there is something bigger; something greater than fun, food, and sites: friendship. A friendship that laughs through sleet, deep puddles, and crying babies. A frienship that hums love songs whi...

Six N Pajamas: Fostering Love
http://sixnpajamas.blogspot.com/2015/02/fostering-love.html
Sunday, February 15, 2015. October 2013, I posted this. We have all heard the age old mantra, "love is a verb." What does that really look like? We were on vacation, and the little guy fell down. Daddy ran to him, picked him up, held him, kissed his boo-boo and snuggled until he felt better. We only had him a couple of months; he was still seeing his birth parents. We chose the action of love even without the emotion of love. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Mother Daughter Sleepover.

Six N Pajamas: Into the Unknown ~ The Beginning of our Fostering Journey
http://sixnpajamas.blogspot.com/2013/10/into-unknown-beginning-of-our-fostering.html
Friday, October 18, 2013. Into the Unknown The Beginning of our Fostering Journey. With a mixture of excitement and anxiety, I asked the casework what seemed like a million questions. Everything seemed to fit. I didn't commit. When dear hubby came home, we deliberated for hours. What if.What about.How.and CAN WE DO THIS? We went to bed with more questions and no solutions. The next morning, my husband says, "I have decided that we are going to say yes." I think, "Okay, now what? Beautifully written Chari...

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Summer Travels A Fountain. As adults I think we can sometimes over-complicate life. We look for something new and exciting; trying to make our lives a little more fulfilling. Maybe all we really need is a water fountain:. Water fountains are plain enough, but this one held childhood memories for me and will now hold memories for my children. What a beautiful thing a water fountain can be. Sunday, July 28, 2013. Summer Travels A Hidden Gem. Summer Travels Is it Home? I flew out ear...

Thursday, December 13, 2012. A Mother Daughter Sleepover. Just a side note: we also had a wonderful family party with those that live close enough to share in the festivities. Lots of love from grandparents, auntie, uncle, and cousins who pitched in to get Kaylynn the perfect gift.a kindle so she can read in between trips to the library. We truly are blessed to be surrounded by so many people who want to celebrate the lives of our children). I think the blush and lipstick were favorites.

Six N Pajamas: Confidence: A Turtle Story
http://sixnpajamas.blogspot.com/2012/06/confidence-turtle-story.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. Confidence: A Turtle Story. Driving home last night, I passed a large, what looked like a large rock, on the side of the highway. This "rock" appeared to have a tail and at least one leg. I whipped the car over to the shoulder, and cried out, "Kids! I think that was a real LIVE snapping turtle, and I think she wants to cross the road! I would not have known this had we not taken a class just a month prior at the Maine Wildlife Park. I turn around, and there is a long line of cars b...

Sunday, May 12, 2013. Something In A Name. I read in a book once that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but I've never been able to believe it. I don't believe a rose WOULD be as nice if it was called a thistle or a skunk cabbage.". Anne of Green Gables. There is so much meaning in a name. There is so much meaning in that name.
