Show that it is for us. Show that it really can be read, understood, and practiced. It was never my goal to have a deep, theological blog. Because that’s just not me. I just wanted to share God’s Word and encourage others in their daily life. If you are reading this, farewell my faithful friend. It has bee...

Lessons From A Prayer failure. February 25, 2015. Today I sat down to pray. My prayer started off something like this, Dear Lord, I thank you for the opportunity to come into you presence again today Did I get that load of laundry started yet today? As I was saying, I am in awe that You called me to Yourself and that I get to call you Father I really need to get this floor vacuumed. (No, no! Does this ever happen to you or am I the only Christian who has a problem with my mind drifting during prayer?

Heartbreaking. Painful. Losing the fifth one was no easier than losing the first. I blamed myself. I had failed my babies. My body could not provide what they needed. It was my fault. I was not able to provide another child to my husband. I had failed him. My heart was broken. You are healthy. You can have more babies.

May 5, 2016. And then I look over and see you. There you are, smiling and cheerfully greeting each student and parent as they walk in. You listen carefully to each student as they ask all sorts of silly and serious questions. You listen carefully as parents voice concerns to you. You are always gentle, patient, and thoughtful in how you answer. What a fabulous job you do! You taught him all this. But that’s not all. I know there is much, much more that you do. Was any of that even in your job description?
