Cheryl's journal: July 2007
http://cherylkobe.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
What should I blog about today? Thursday, July 5, 2007. Do as I say, not as I do. As we speak (? I am transcribing what I have written thus far for Magdalena. I know, I know, I did say earlier that I wouldn't do this until I had finished, but being the inconsistent, flexible, impatient person that I am.oh well. The words are now forever ensconced on my hard drive. Or until my writing group tells me what to delete to the abyss. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Quotation of the Day.

Cheryl's journal: Socks? No, not yet.
http://cherylkobe.blogspot.com/2008/09/socks-no-not-yet.html
What should I blog about today? Friday, September 26, 2008. No, not yet. Nope I'm not ready for socks. The book came, I ruffled through the pages, got intimidated, closed the book and decided that what I really needed was a poncho for myself. The color is raspberry and it's moving along quite nicely. This what the end result should. I'm not sure about the pom-pom thingies across the bottom. They do serve a purpose- I think- to help weigh down the poncho, maybe, so it lays nicely? Pom-poms or no pom-poms?

Teresa Wells: September 2009
http://teresawells.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
I Recommend . . . Posted by Teresa at 10:57 AM. Plot and Structure, by James Scott Bell, is a revolutionary book to many of us who are writing novels. It's funny how many times I've run into someone who finds it as inspiring as I have: I told Lois about it, she finished it before me and urged me to hurry up! Then my sister-in-law, Laura, who has had a novel living in her head for years, picked it up and was amazed at how easy plotting became for her! So, get this book! Quick, before they're all gone!

Teresa Wells: What's in a name?
http://teresawells.blogspot.com/2009/07/whats-in-name.html
What's in a name? Posted by Teresa at 8:54 PM. That's why I'm rethinking my title. It's just not gripping me by the throat these days. And if it doesn't grip me, will it really grip a casual reader as they peruse the bookshelf? No - the question is, will it grip an editor - will it grip an agent? 160;Will the title Green Corn and Porch Music provoke anybody to look beyond the title and read the first line? I'm thinking . . . no. Don't think I'm an extra trusting person - it's just that I've scratched my ...

Posted by Teresa at 9:17 AM. Call me obsessive compulsive. That's what I look like some days, writing this story like my life depends on it while the groceries, once again, aren't purchased, the bathtub isn't scrubbed, and those appointments that should have been made, haven't. So what's the big deal about this story? It's Angeline. She won't leave me alone. And by the way, where was her own mother in all this? The only thing was, I didn't know her story. Thus, Green Corn and Porch Music was born. Robin ...
