From a Jones to a King. This document traces the ancestors of the Jones side of the family, working backwards from the marriage of David Jones and Agnes Roberts in May 1899. David Jones was the son of John Jones and was born in 1871 in Maesteg, but grew up in Merthyr Tydfil whilst Agnes was born in Nantmel, Radnorshire in the same year. David and Agnes Jones had three children, David Thomas Hugh (Dai), John Scott (Jack) and William Robert (Willie), the fathers of David and Marion, Rosemary and Judith.
