Ceci n'est pas une Blog: Holy Fat Blue Text, Batman
http://brilliantnestpas.blogspot.com/2008/02/holy-fat-blue-text-batman.html
Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Friday, February 15, 2008. Holy Fat Blue Text, Batman. Edit: It's fixed itself now. I did not manually change my list of del.icio.us links to a link cloud. Don't know why it's doing that. In fact, I don't even know if it's appearing that way for anyone other than me. In any case, I'll fix it when I feel like it. I think my blog's earned enough cred looking super-sexy for long enough to hold me over for a couple days. My reading week starts today. Cool, huh? Links to this post:.

http://brilliantnestpas.blogspot.com/2007/07/dave-for-dummies-glossary.html
Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Friday, July 20, 2007. Dave for Dummies: A Glossary. No offense intended, of course. The fact is, I'm a bit of a geek, and while most of my friends know what I'm talking about, I want this blog to be accessible to anyone. So I decided to write a glossary of terms I use all the time when writing about the topics I enjoy, and hopefully that will make some of my posts less cryptic. Cool? Refers to either Adobe Flash, which is software for building animations, or Macromedia Flash Pla...

Ceci n'est pas une Blog: The TED Talks
http://brilliantnestpas.blogspot.com/2008/01/ted-talks.html
Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Thanks to Rockwell for the heads-up on this. I haven't actually gotten the chance to look at this very closely yet, but I plan to. Is a yearly event that invites many of the world's most renowned thinkers and doers to give an 18-minute lecture on something they feel is really important. And you get to watch for free. Pretty sweet deal. Apologies for the lack in posting again. I've been busy in the last couple of days working on this mammoth of a post.

Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Monday, February 18, 2008. You know what, Jack? Forget about giving this struggling new medium a hard time at every turn. That's bad, but it doesn't even come close to using a tragedy. Posted by Dave @ 7:45 PM. Links to this post:. An outlet for my musings and such. Feel free to leave comments. Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Thursday, February 21, 2008. Why NN is Important. One of my friends. Dugg this image and I liked it so much I just had to post it here. (By "like", I mean it terrifies me.) Click to enlarge. Sorry for the lack of content on this blog lately. Most of the stuff I'd post here always makes me think, "actually that'd be a good one for my class blog! Explaining it since it came up in class and I was pretty sure a lot of my peers would be unfamiliar with the issue. Links to this post:.

Ceci n'est pas une Blog: Arrogance Disappearing Act
http://brilliantnestpas.blogspot.com/2007/08/arrogance-disappearing-act.html
Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Today I attended a conference at the national Sears HQ in Toronto with two co-workers and my boss. The day's events consisted of several presentations made by representatives from major manufacturers such as Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, and Monster Cable. Because I'm not a (real) journalist (yet) and this was not a press conference, I could not conduct a proper interview with the representatives from Sony. Why would I want to do that? Rebecca Grant, Sony.

Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Saturday, January 19, 2008. Just a note, the sidebar link to my class blog, "Dave Studies Media" is now functional. The opportunity to keep a blog for big marks is a welcome novelty, and I'm really enjoying the community-aspect of it. Remember, the class blog is not an exclusive club! Feel free to jump in on the discussion. I'm moderating comments on it so as to keep the quality up. My dad bought this. Not referencing anything in particular, just blabbing. Incidentally, all m...

Ceci n'est pas une Blog. Sunday, October 28, 2007. One more comment - on the multitasking point - how true it is. While perusing the WoW forums the other day, I read an amusing story about a Hunter, (big surprise there! That made their group wipe during a menial dungeon encounter. (For the uninitiated, that means the group all "died" and lost real time and game money.) Their reason? Am I far too elitist for my own good? Yeah, nobody. Oh wait, no. Scratch that. It's all changing now. If ev...Well, what a ...
