September 17, 2014. Friday 12 Sep 2014. We didn’t make it to the ferry yesterday, 125km short. So we left the campsite early this morning to catch the Aldan river ferry before noon. Beyond that is the “road of bones” right up to Magadan. Passing time on the 10km (1.5 hrs) upriver ferry ride. It’s also very scenic.

On Friday 18 Jan, 2013 Ham and I (and Chor) went back to Ipoh to see Jalil, Ham’s youngest brother at the Hospital Tuanku. He suffered a stroke the night before. He was in coma the whole time we were there (from 12:30 to 1:30 pm). His wife and daughters were at his bedside. Jalil was a few week’s short of being 55 years old when he passed away. He left behind a wife and nine children.

It was an uneventful flight and we got to KLIA at 7:50 am on Monday 4 May after a 12 hours flight. Going through Check In at Heathrow was fast because in our group we had two wheelchair users.
