The Pompeii chronicle is going to be a long one filled with far too many photos – I think it has ended up being about 6 posts. This has come about because our day at Pompeii was possibly the most interesting place I’ve ever been and I absolutely loved it. An attempt to record my year over in the UK. Monday, 15 October 2007. Apologises for the complete lack of blogging - I'm on my way home now. Hi anyone who is still checking this despite my complete lack of blogging of late (and thank you if you have). I have to apologise for my complete lack of blogging and emailing of late. Rome is such an incredible place and we saw so many places and interesting things while we were there that I have decided to split day 3 of our trip to Rome into 3 separate posts – since I took so many photos there and blogger gets a bit temperamental when I put in too many photos it has to be split up! An attempt to record my year over in the UK. Thursday, 4 October 2007. Rome Day 3 – Post 2 of 3 – Vatican. Thursday 4th October 2007. The Vatican is incredible – there are so many statues, paintings, murals and the buildings within the Vatican walls are brilliant. So we got to the colosseum and looked at it from the outside – walking around the massive structure in awe. As we arrived in Prague we called into a travel agency in the train station and booked a hotel room from there. We then went to the ATM and got some cash out – however as the currency there is koruna’s and I hadn’t checked the exchange rate I really had no idea how much I’d gotten out. After our huge day at Oktoberfest we got on our train and found our sleeper cabin.
