What is Psychological Assessment? Does my child need therapy? Child and Youth Psychological Services employs other individuals in Psychology and related disciplines. All employees at Child and Youth Psychological Services are either registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario or are supervised directly by Dr. Struiksma.

What is Psychological Assessment? Does my child need therapy? Many extended insurance plans and some Employee Assistance Plans (EAPs) cover psychological services either fully or partially. OHIP does not cover psychological services. Health plans differ so please check yours regarding coverage and procedures. Fees are determined during the first session and follow the guidelines set by the Ontario Psychological Association for psychological consultation and counselling.

What is Psychological Assessment? Does my child need therapy? Treatment approaches that we offer include both individual and group therapy. Some of the areas we work with include Anxiety, Non-verbal Learning Disabilities, Social Skills Training, ADHD, and the social and adaptive skills of children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum continuum. We also offer Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), both individually and in groups.
