Saturday, March 08, 2008. This has not been a particularly great week for me. Some weeks are better than others - this, not so good. I felt like I just had more than I can handle. Even in the rough times, I appreciate the promises that my Lord has given me. He will always carry me through, whether it is something huge or tiny. He will give me what I need. His Strength is perfect when our strength is gone. He'll carry us when we can't carry on. Raised in His power, the weak become strong.

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Saw "Punch Brothers" at Lee's Palace last night. It was a mind grenade. Punch Brothers is one of those bands that can play most of a tune at 45%, throwing in little flashes of dominance to keep everybody honest, in a way that leaves you feeling like perhaps that last tune wasn't so impressive. until you take it home and destroy your left hand for 3 hours working through the intro at half-speed.
