There is an audience and an implied storyteller. There is the plot (the story being told) and the goal (the change the storyteller wants to make in the audience). The goal of a story can be to entertain or enlighten. A good story does one of these. A great story does both. A bad story does neither. THE STRUCTURE OF FILM STRUCTURE.
