Children's Program's. Provides programs and services for youth, families, adults and individuals during times of crisis. Available to residence of the Town and County of Barrhead as well as the Fort Assiniboine area. Christmas toys for children 0 -17 years of age. Christmas Food Hamper Program. Family School Liason

Children's Program's. Through a partnership program between Barrhead FCSS and Pembina Hills, Barrhead family School Liaison workers provide support in the Barrhead Elementry, Barrhead Composite, Neerlandia Public, Dunstable, and Fort Assiniboine schools. Support for parents, and guardians include: parent support, transitions, grief and loss, behavior issues, coping with emotional issues the family may encounter. Support/appointments for students and parents are available at the school, your home or FCSS.

Counseling

Children's Program's. The Referral Family Counselor is contracted by FCSS to provide short-term counseling. The counselor assists those dealing with emotional upsets, covering a wide range of issues. This service is available one and one half days day per week. (Tuesdays all day and Thursday afternoons). Counseling feesfor residents of the Town and County of Barrhead and the M.D. of Woodlands #15 are determined according to income. Non-resident’s fee is $40.00 per visit. Closed all statutory holidays.
