Coping With Mediocrity: May 2008
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Friday, 23 May 2008. Facebook, you've gone too far! It's bad enough that facebook seems to have decided to bombard me with dating site ads, it now seems to be mocking me. Stop Browsing Profiles', it accuses. '24 and Still Single? Ok, so I only have myself to blame. I've put my age and 'relationship status' on my profile, I gave it that. It might even have kept track of how long I've been single, how many female friends I have and how much I talk to them- fair enough. Well, t...

Coping With Mediocrity: Yeah, well...
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2009/04/yeah-well.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Thursday, 2 April 2009. Hmmm, yes, it's been a while. Finally got round to posting my Gran Torino review. And have started daily haikus on twitter (all being well, they should appear on your right)- let's see how long that lasts. In other news/excuses for not posting for ages, I went skiing and managed to destroy most of the skin on my face through exposure to intense UV radiation swiftly followed by icy blasts. And I got to say 'my face! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Coping With Mediocrity: Do as I say
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2009/02/do-as-i-say.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Sunday, 22 February 2009. Do as I say. I just know you've been dying to hear my personal view on whether you would like Benjamin Button. If not, then I'll tell you anyway- epic, not Gump-lite (I hate that term anyway- if you're going to belittle things by comparing them unfavourably to other more or less similar things at least use real words) but slightly mis-sold. It was almost overshadowed by the trailer for Gran Torino. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Do as I say.

Coping With Mediocrity: October 2008
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Thursday, 30 October 2008. The day after I'd written my last two posts, I discovered that the only proper travel article I've written so far (it's been almost a year, so I don't hold out much hope I'll produce much more) actually went up on a website I don't control! But be patient- it seems to take almost as long to load as it took me to get round to writing it). That'll probably be it for another month or so. Monday, 27 October 2008. Worse still, will there be comments?

Coping With Mediocrity: August 2008
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Monday, 25 August 2008. Call me anal (again) but I can't help but wince every time I hear a new noun-as-verb. It seems to me that because no-one knows what's grammatically right and wrong anymore, as soon as anyone can't be bothered to structure a sentence properly so uses a noun as a verb, everyone else thinks it's suddenly ok to do the same. The standards are being set by the lowest common denominator. Of course, medalling was inevitable (although with so many people.

Coping With Mediocrity: November 2008
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Saturday, 15 November 2008. Homorous Headlines # 2 and 3. Ah, headline boards, you brighten my life with your unwitting comedy! I saw this one a while ago and have probably told most of you about it, but just for the record:. FAMILY TORN APART BY TRAGEDY- PICTURES". Something I want to see! And, just to show I'm not looking down on the local press in Worcester now I'm moving to London, I've already seen ample proof that the capital's papers are just as bad:.

Coping With Mediocrity: June 2009
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Sunday, 7 June 2009. My name in pixels. I've found a new place to air my views on cinema- londonfrequently.com. So now potentially hundreds rather than just you two can read my Star Trek review. I was going to make some laboured point about the irony of someone who has only managed two blog posts in as many months contributing to a site with 'frequently' in the title, but couldn't be bothered. Probably for the best. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
