Chicago Eating, South Side Greetings. 2013 Weekly Cookbook Challenge. Friday, September 20, 2013. Recipe Swap: Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookies. Eva is a baking and skating wizard. (I think she might be a robot.) I love following her skating adventures every Friday and watching her do leaps and spins that I have only ever dreamed of doing. Angie ice skates = laughter. I will never be a skater. As always, this month's swap is hosted by Sarah from A Taste of Home Cooking. Thanks for hosting, Sarah! Heat oven to ...
My Chicago Kitchen: Tangy Dijon Chicken
http://cookingwithfrazzoo.blogspot.com/2013/09/tangy-dijon-chicken.html
Chicago Eating, South Side Greetings. 2013 Weekly Cookbook Challenge. Thursday, September 12, 2013. As I'm writing this, I have a cold. I'm not entirely sure because for the first time in a long time, I'm sick before Graham or Hannah. That's weird, and it rarely happens. Usually Graham brings something home from school or Hannah comes home with God-knows-what from the kids at daycare. Whatever virus-from-hades this is, it's kicking my butt. I am wiped. Adapted from Table for Two. 1 c Dijon mustard. Arran...

Chicago Eating, South Side Greetings. 2013 Weekly Cookbook Challenge. Monday, September 16, 2013. I'm not good at food photography. It's a skill. There's a definite art to it, and it's just not something I'm good at. Clearly, because how did I not notice the huge freakin' crumb RIGHT THERE IN THE FOREGROUND? My college photography professor hopefully never sees this, because I have a feeling she'll come up to Chicago and drop a 50 lb. weight right on my head. Barely adapted from Williams-Sonoma. Lightly ...

Chicago Eating, South Side Greetings. 2013 Weekly Cookbook Challenge. Monday, September 30, 2013. Baked Chicken and Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes. Apparently, it's casserole season. An attorney writes about stuff she'd rather be doing: cooking, eating, wining, dining and traveling. Monday, January 26, 2009. Tuna Tacos with Avocado and Orange. This was supposed to be tuna tacos with a tomato-orange salsa. However, I managed the purchase the single most disgusting tomato ever (it looked ok, but was all mealy and nasty inside). The tomato went into the trash, and cucumber and avocado went into the bowl instead. Tuna Tacos with Avocado and Orange. 1 medium Haas avocado, diced. Add diced...

An attorney writes about stuff she'd rather be doing: cooking, eating, wining, dining and traveling. Sunday, October 11, 2009. Cook Like A Crazy Person. We just had 5 weddings in the last 30 days, and I've been working 12 hour days. This being my first free weekend in what seems like eternity, I cooked, slept, and sipped red wine while in comfy pants. It was glorious. 2 quart-sized bags of chicken soup made with homemade stock. 2 quart-sized bags of taco soup. 1 gallon-sized bag of chicken chile verde.

An attorney writes about stuff she'd rather be doing: cooking, eating, wining, dining and traveling. Thursday, August 13, 2009. I cannot say this enough: I big fat hot pink sparkly puffy heart the Green City Market. I have not eaten a single piece of fruit or vegetable from a commercial grocery store in months. Nor do I plan to. Tonight's dinner featured the Pasta Puttana Cremini Mushroom Tagliatelle, and I used only purchases from the Green City Market, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and a tiny bit of butte...

Sunday, August 24, 2008. Day 239: Survived Surgery. Most of you know by now, but I had sinus surgery a week or so ago. It was rough.a lot worse than I thought it would be. I didn't think I'd ever get better, but I'm back to my old self now. Mark took very good care of me. I kept saying I was testing out that 'in sickness and health' part. Well he passed with flying colors. I wouldn't have made it through with him! It really cheered me up when I was having such a rough time. Sunday, August 10, 2008. And a...

Saturday, December 27, 2008. Crock Pot Red Beans and Rice. Well hello there. I know it has been a good while since I've updated the blog. So here is what you will need:. 1 pound dry red beans. 1 pack of seasoning blend veggies. 1 pound sliced country sausage. Stuff the chicke...

Cooking With Freefalling
Monday, January 26, 2015. Always losing this recipe. Just posting it here so I know where to find it. Labels: chutney and pickles. Sunday, January 1, 2012. Had 3 goes at my first batch and couldn't get it right. So put it back in to cook it some more. Then tried to loosen it up with some water. Temperature is a funny thing with jam. I've since learnt;. 218 degrees = syrup. 220 degrees = jell (or is it gell? 220 degrees for 5-10 minutes (which takes it up around 228) and you're on your way to chewy lolly.
