Laura Manfre - watercolour illustrations: Frosting techniques
http://lauramanfre.blogspot.com/2015/09/frosting-techniques.html
Saturday, 19 September 2015. This month I've been working on a commission involving a lot of sweet food (will share the result as soon as I can) and I've really enjoyed painting frosting and icing. So, as I had some free time I thought I'd work on an illustration about frosting techniques. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My name is Laura Manfre and I'm a self-taught illustrator from France. Saturday, 16 July 2011. Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre 2011. Morning from a rainy Norwich! I come to you this morning perched on my dining room table watching Marty the dog scamper about in our overgrown grass. At intervals he's leaping under trees to seek some shelter from the rain.but then he gets bored and jumps out for another adventure. (Don't worry it's that light sideways rain and not of epic monsoon nature). Anyways, are you as dissapointed as I am that I haven't blogged lately? I'll be listing some ...

Tuesday, 27 December 2011. Hope you all had an excellent Christmas :) I've spent the last few days in an over indulged daze, as I'm sure may be the case for a lot of you also! I'm now busy trying to offload as many chocolates as I can to friends, family and basically anyone who comes within ten meters of my house. Oh, and also avoid the mad Post-Christmas Sales in the highstreet! In the spirit of all the crazy sales happening I'm having my very own in the DottyNoggin Etsy Shop. Hope you see something you...

Monday, 13 June 2011. Commission Number Two and a glimpse of a Zine in the works! Harder than it looks and definitely doesn't make for interesting viewing on a blog about Illustration! Anyways I'm here now! And here I have Commission Number 2, which is another Victorian Terrace. I'm pretty sure I could never get sick of drawing these! It would be a whopping five metres in length so I fully expect to receive an 'are you crazy' quote or at least something along those lines. And of course I can't sell t...

Dottynoggin: April 2011

Sunday, 24 April 2011. Thought I'd take some time out to post for you so you can read at your leisure in your giddy chocolate induced highs! So, here goes. It’s no secret that I still have the occasional dream where I’m transported back in time by my mind to the weeks running up to the end of my Degree. To that last little bit where I had to hang and present our work. But I think most people have those little flashbacks don’t they? I could go on, but of course I won’t! So buildings became my focus (IR...

Dottynoggin: Hello 2012!
http://kirstyramsbottom.blogspot.com/2012/01/hello-2012.html
Thursday, 5 January 2012. Hello, and Happy New Year! Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, a Brilliant New Year's Eve and are getting 2012 off to a excellent start. I don't generally make any New Year's Resolutions, as I spend most of the year trying to become better at things (the key word there being 'try'! And heaps of antenatal classes! I did two new Illustrations in December as Christmas Gifts - one was commissioned and the other was a drawing I did as a present to send someone special myself :).
