Becky's Blog: Read the Stats and Then Throw Them Away
http://beckystubbs.blogspot.com/2009/06/read-stats-and-then-throw-them-away.html
My journey of faith with Jesus Christ, my life with Cystic Fibrosis, and all the craziness my brain can come up with. Friday, June 12, 2009. Read the Stats and Then Throw Them Away. After some prodding (Hi, Lynn! I decided I should probably add to my blog. I started this 4 days ago, but it took me awhile to get it written. Some of the main points and statistics (accurate only to the point that I took accurate notes and can still decipher them):. Normally only one anti-rejection drug is needed for transp...
View from the Attic: remembering zero
http://viewfromtheattic.blogspot.com/2015/02/remembering-zero.html
View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Monday, February 16. I wonder about the people who lived here in 1887. How did they heat the place? Where did they cook and how. I think the bathroom attached to our bedroom was a bedroom once because it looks like the hall closet used to be a hallway leading to it. And I doubt old houses had en suite bathrooms. I want to remember zero. Enjoy our TV show and stay hunkered down until the cold passes. Ive been enjoying...
View from the Attic: braving the iceberg

View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Friday, February 20. OK, maybe not an iceberg, but I really have to organize my studio so I can actually, you know, make stuff! As crazy as it may feel today, the season starts in about 8 weeks. I have ideas for new work, but I need to get going on it before the muse gives up on me and moves on. I have spent as much money on boxes and bins and jars and accordion files as on art supplies. Or so it seems. And yet, ...On th...
View from the Attic: I hate this but I am going to do it anyway

View from the Attic. Under the eaves with paper, glue and paint. Visit the web site. Wednesday, January 1. I hate this but I am going to do it anyway. Assessing the year about to pass. I hate it. I think I hate it mostly because of the endless parade, on TV and in print, of people who died this year. And the resolutions. Ack! The endless resolutions to be thinner, richer, kinder, smarter come the new year. All of this makes me a bit uneasy. Which is good, I think. Better to live on the edge than ...The d...

Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Kari's Klimbers - Willis Tower (seriously, Sears Tower) Climb! The climb will be on Sunday, November 14th. Registration is $50 – however, there is a $100 pledge minimum. You can either sign-up and immediately pledge yourself $100 (total climb cost $150), or work to get pledges. I loved her adorable shoes!

The Land of Lin. Please help improve the blog by taking the poll to the right. Thanks! September 16, 2008. From Point A to Point B: Making Art Again. I think my recently passed dog Lacey wants to see her Mama doing something she loves. I knew when I heard her ghostly dog tags mysteriously jingling that she was telling me "Get on with things you love- I know you haven't forgotten me". It It keeps us balanced and healthy. The animals know it but we forget. So the collage was called "The Point Is Pl...I got...

Climbing Kilimanjaro
Wednesday, September 14, 2011. The view from the top. After walking up hill for 5 days it was a breeze coming down. Abraham and I made it back to Gilman’s Point in an hour, and we made it down from Gilman’s point in another hour. The adrenaline was back and I was having less trouble getting my breath. The trip up took more than 5 hours but I made it down in about an hour. At one point I was nearly running down the side of the mountain. I wanted to keep going. Once we reached Mandara, I washed up quickly ...

2018 Hustle up the Hancock. I walk to work. I walk around my beautiful city. I’m lucky enough to have a Fitbit that tells me I average 14,000-15,000 steps daily. Every day. I also think about the organizations that helped me stay on this planet – and help me and others stay here a little more comfortably, and a little longer. The Respiratory Health Association and so many other organizations – this is always one of my opportunities to pay some of that back – or forward. To see my Hustle page or pledge me:.
