So here’s the deal. 2 Everyone in your group has to commit to fa...

Whispered Workshops: The First Bread Making Workshop
http://whisperedworkshops.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-first-bread-making-workshop.html
City Garden Country Garden. Sunday, August 5, 2012. The First Bread Making Workshop. Today we were very excited to launch the first Whispered Workshop. Anneli, Tobi, Renee and Diana all spent the morning at Anneli's house to make bread. The idea was to make sourdough bread but we decided that given the time that sourdough breadmaking takes, we should also make a really quick bread, so made a loaf of Irish Soda Bread to go with a delicious pot of soup that Anneli cooked up for lunch. Everyone brought thei...

Wild Yarns and Stuff. Moments from an artquilting, yarnbombing and miscellaneous life. Thread to Thrive workshops. Tuesday, 11 November 2014. I set myself a rule when I started writing a blog - it would always be fun and never take anything seriously. Today I break this rule! Its not a Flanders poppy, but it is a red poppy with the black centre. It is always starts to flower in the second week of November and there is always a new flower open on Remberance Day. This one greeted me this morning! What an e...

Wild Yarns and Stuff. Moments from an artquilting, yarnbombing and miscellaneous life. Thread to Thrive workshops. Friday, 24 April 2015. Tomorrow is two months to the day since the last blog. Bad blog behaviour! But of course there's a very good reason (isn't there always? The reason is the poppy project which for Margaret and myself has been overwhelming. As tomorrow is Anzac Day today just happens to feel like the best day to write this blog. Wild Yarns and Stuff. 25 April 2015 at 01:04. Musings of a ...

digging up the dirt: A peach of a day
http://diggingupthedirt.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-peach-of-day.html
Digging up the dirt. Sunday, 22 December 2013. A peach of a day. Ok so I should have written this on Tuesday but I couldn't find all the camera accessories so it is late as always. Don't you love it when everything you do in a day just becomes magic? As Mr R would say 'it's a peach of a day'. Flat peaches so so tasty. Then I decided we should go on a picnic to Bobbin Head (a beautiful national park not to far from me). So what better thing but to take a home grown salad? I walked out and picked zucchini.

digging up the dirt: February 2014
http://diggingupthedirt.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Digging up the dirt. Wednesday, 19 February 2014. Millions of peaches.Peaches for free. I was recently given a gift of peaches and plums from a friend who's daughter lives in Bathurst. Going on the size of this box alone you can just imagine how big the trees must have been. The peaches were white cling stone with amazing flavour. If only they were slip stones they could have been even better. The plums were mostly just eaten with a few stewed. Plum and peach crumble. Peach and almond cake. Anyhoo I thou...
