Journey to the Fatherland: Deutschland 2009. This is the tale of 5 1/2 months in Europe. Let it begin. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. As last Thursday was a holiday (gotta love those German holidays), I traveled to Munich and Dachau last weekend with a few good Heidelbergean friends. The Asamkirche (Asams' Church). It's tiny.

Journey to the Fatherland: Deutschland 2009. This is the tale of 5 1/2 months in Europe. Let it begin. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Berlin and the Spreewald. Sorry for my long leave of absence. During the first two days, I stayed with Kristin's boyfriend, Manuel, who lives in Berlin. I toured Berlin "turbo-style" and was a bit dazed by the end of it, but I absolutely loved it. Today I woke a happy girl as I looked out the window to find that the sun had come out for the second day since I've been here! Following the parade, I think most people went home to recover for a while before going out again at night. Great costumes lined all the streets and bars, and a good time was had by all. Journey to the Fatherland: Deutschland 2009. This is the tale of 5 1/2 months in Europe. Let it begin. Thursday, March 26, 2009. Paris, my love! At long last, I'm back in Heidelberg! Exhausted and slightly poorer, I finally have time to look back at my new favorite place in Europe. As much as I hate to admit it, Paris- the stereotypical European destination that everyone always goes to- has stolen my heart. I love it! The flying buttresses on the back of Notre-Dame Cathedral. The Hall of Mirrors in Versa...
