Works in Progress: June 2015

June 30, 2015. The monthly theme was Jumanji June. I was supposed to stitch on an animal-themed piece. So I stitched on my kit, The Pack. This is an interesting design. There are no partial stitches or backstitching. The entire design is cross stitch. I got a lot of stitching done this month. Don't know what got into me, but I kinda like it. Next month's theme is Jolly July. I need to pick one of my many Christmas-themed projects for some Christmas in July time. June 02, 2015. June WIPocalypse Check In.

January 10, 2015. I finished my rotation on my Dolphin's Domain kit. I didn't have much time left since my WIPocalypse post so there's not much difference from my last picture. But there (hopefully) is a difference from before the rotation began. Now I'm adding Too Much Honey (a leisure arts kit about Winnie the Pooh) to my rotation. January 05, 2015. June 02, 2015. June WIPocalypse Check In. Topic: Do you find yourself more productive with stitching in summer or winter? This is an easy question. I am definitely more productive in summer simply because my break is longer. I am a school teacher so I have more time in the summer to have fun. I have trainings to go to and things that must be done for work, but I'm not on a 7:30-4 schedule like I am the rest of the year. Labels: WIPocalypse Check ins. June 3, 2015 at 9:46 AM. July 02, 2015. July WIPocalypse Check-in #1. Topic: Reality or Fantasy. Which do you prefer to stitch? I prefer to stitch fantasy motifs. My favorite things to stitch are fairies and mermaids. I also like dragons and anything Halloween or fall-themed. I prefer stitching figures to abstract objects. I like to be able to recognize what I have accomplished. Labels: WIPocalypse Check ins.
