Things are happening so fast; there is so much information being passed along, and things to read, and lists to make, and shopping to do, and packing to start, that my mind is in a whirlwind! I misunderstood something, and only yesterday learned of my mistake. I thought, since we were told that we would travel from Beijing to Kaili's province in Gansu, that we would be taken TO her. I was wrong, and that about broke my heart. This is the Social Welfare Institute of Qingyang City.

Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Yesterday our sweet baby girl turned 19 months old, and it also marked the one month date of her landing in the USA. This last month has been a blur. How has so much happened in such a short amount of time? Those first few weeks of jet lag seem like they happened months ago! We went outside yesterday to take some official 19 month old pictures! Tuesday, March 25, 2014. 20 Months Old and Home for 2 months! Eight weeks home already. Wow. I catch myself staring at her often, amazed this is the same screaming and fighting child they put in our arms in January. She is learning new skills every day. She is loved and enjoyed. She brings us so much joy! And I start thinking, " WHAT IF. I feel her warm body on mine, thankful for how relaxed she is, and so exited she now seems to enjoy the personal contact she hated in the beginning. We had missed this?

Sunday, January 26, 2014. Finally - they are all together. The first (of many) group shots. I love my family! Had to get one with the Cheerios box.
