A Red Heel State of Mind: Things I Realized Today
http://sassyshoediary.blogspot.com/2011/06/things-i-realized-today.html
A Red Heel State of Mind. Friday, June 10, 2011. Things I Realized Today. Today was a day for realizations for me. I must have been feeling thoughtful. I love my job. I really do. I started in May and I couldn't be happier. If I wrote down everything I wanted and needed in a job, it would be the position I have now. I feel so blessed! I love my team. (It's crazy to say I have a team.) I took them to lunch and they are a great group of women whom I respect greatly. My pocketbook cannot handle that! That i...

A Red Heel State of Mind: The High is Back
http://sassyshoediary.blogspot.com/2011/10/high-is-back.html
A Red Heel State of Mind. Sunday, October 23, 2011. The High is Back. Tonight I feel elated. For a wonderful reason, too. I ran today. It had been over 7 months since I've gone for a run (due to my knee injury). Fast forward through physical therapy, lots of rest and a 16 weight gain because of lack of exercise, today I laced up my running shoes that I hadn't worn since mid-March and scrambled to find my favorite shorts, socks and sports bra. I never complained once. I pushed it at the end. There is noth...

A Red Heel State of Mind: May 2011

A Red Heel State of Mind. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Love Me Some Clothing Swaps. I hosted my first clothing swap last week and it went great! All but two of the girls who came were swap newbies so it was fun to introduce a swap to them. I think they all enjoyed it and left with some "new" finds. Nothing better than getting new clothes for free! Here's my tips for hosting a swap:. Invite a variety of girls - all shapes and sizes - and give them some advance notice so they can gather up items. Flats are my ne...

A Red Heel State of Mind: That's Coloriffic!
http://sassyshoediary.blogspot.com/2012/06/thats-coloriffic.html
A Red Heel State of Mind. Saturday, June 23, 2012. Today was finally the day of The Color Run. My friend Julie and I were so excited when the race announced they were coming to our city. How could we say no to a colorful, fun 5K? We were in the second wave of 1,000 to start. Check out the crowd in front of us! Julie and I before the race. And here's me afterward! Despite the fact I cramped big time during it (excruciating tearing pain - what gives! Have you done a Color Run? View my complete profile.

A Red Heel State of Mind. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. And in Running News. Well, it’s official. I am doing the Houston half marathon. I might have broken a sweat when I received the e-mail but I am excited to hopefully. Check an item off my bucket list! I’m currently debating how to train for it. Any advice, fellow runners? So I actually may just do the Hal Higdon program. I'd love YOUR thoughts! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Twitter Updates 2.2: FeedWitter. And in Running News.

A Red Heel State of Mind: December 2010
http://sassyshoediary.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A Red Heel State of Mind. Friday, December 17, 2010. NYC State of Mind. Hello my fellow bloggers - I'm alive! I've been on a little hiatus, which involves getting sick and going on a wonderful vacation to D.C. and NYC! It was all flippin' fantastic. I felt like a whole new person. I was content being with me. Of course, I prefer vacations with a friend or loved one, but now I KNOW 100 percent that I'm okay on my own. More pics to come! Sunday, December 5, 2010. I went to New Orleans over Thanksgiving to ...

Sunday, June 2, 2013. The Sunday Currently #8. I've been such an absent blogger this week, but the good news is we finally got all moved into our new apartment yesterday, so I should have more time now! And with that, it's time for the usual Sunday routine! Haven't had time to read much of anything, which makes me sad. Today I'm playing catchup on all the blogs I follow! My monthly to-do list and schedule of bills.gotta love being an adult. The sun will come out! I could go for some coffee right about now.

Violet Lilac Plum: Review: Cardstore
http://violetlilacplum.blogspot.com/2013/06/review-cardstore.html
Sunday, June 23, 2013. I was really excited when I was contacted by Lauren at Cardstore. About reviewing a card. They have so many unique cards to choose from, whatever your style. They even have photo cards, if that's something you're into! The site walks you through the whole process, so it's really easy and fun! Since Justin and I have a little goddaughter who will be arriving any day now, I thought it would be fun to make a baby card! After looking through all the cute cards, this is the one I chose:.

Violet Lilac Plum: The Sunday Currently #9
http://violetlilacplum.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-sunday-currently-9.html
Sunday, June 23, 2013. The Sunday Currently #9. I missed last week, it feels good to be back! The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I've seen it on tons of reading lists and a few book clubs, so I was curious to see how it was. I'm only a few chapters in, but really liking it so far. More blog posts than I have in awhile, yay! The shows Justin's watching. First it was Bob's Burgers, now Falling Skies. How nice our apartment looks with everything arranged and in its place. Home sweet home! Linking up with Lauren.
