We had twin girls, Mary Katherine (Kate) and Emma Elizabeth (Emma) on July 6, 2006 and William Benjamin Carter III (Ben) on September 26, 2008. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Kate made a deal this morning. She would go to church, if she could go fishing when we got out! She is her daddy's child. She caught her first fish and within minutes, Emma did too! Way to go girls. Those are pretty nice brim. I wasn't so sure that the Dora and Spongebob rod and reels would work, but they actually reeled them in all by themselves. She is her daddy's child for sure! April 26, 2009 at 4:12 PM. Sunday, May 10, 2009. Our First Dance Recital. Good job, Emma! Emma was a little ham. She came out smiling and they actually had to walk her off of the stage at the end. I think she liked being at the center of the audience's attention. Thursday, October 30, 2008. Today, Emma was my only child in the right bed at naptime. Ben was in Mommy and Daddy's bed. I couldn't seem to lay him down without a fuss in his crib. I caught a glimpse of Ben "playing with the angels" aka smiling in this one! Kate decided she'd regress to infant days.she's done this a few times lately. Maybe it makes her feel like the baby again. Sunday, May 10, 2009. This is my new kayak I had planned to debut today. I was sick instead, but I can't wait to get it out on the lake! Ben's first sandbox experience. He loved it and played for about two hours! Will says he's a natural outdoors! All smiles in the sandbox. Just diggin' in the dirt. At least they all had a wonderful day.that's what matters! Thursday, July 30, 2015. The boys have had another fun week with Abby. This is her last week with us and, although we know she has exciting things to do (go back to college! We will be sad when she is headed back to college. On Monday she took them to Monkey Joe's and Sonic. On Tuesday they went to the dollar store for candy and the $1 movies to see Dolphin Tail 2. Later that day is poured rain so they made a fort and stayed under it all afternoon. To take a nap. Such fun! Posted by Betsy Marchant.

Thursday, October 30, 2014. Carter worked late on Wednesday night so the boys and I attempted to carve a pumpkin by ourselves. Luke was totally grossed out with the inside of the pumpkin! I got one of those carving kits and, boy, did that mean some hard work for mom! Our witchy woman turned out okay though. We still had one more pumpkin to carve on Thursday night. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Christmas with the Marchants. We spent Christmas afternoon/evening at Carter's parents' house. I tried my "take a picture the second people walk in the door" method but two of the cousins weren't quite ready for pictures (Wesley and Tucker). The rest of these cousins are pretty cute, though and don't get to spend nearly enough time together! They were super excited. Imagine all nine of the cousins (and their parents and grandparents = 19 people) in one room opening presents!

Friday, August 29, 2014. Luke's big boy bed. I have been looking for the perfect bed for Luke since before we moved. I hadn't found "the one" so we kept him in his crib for the first couple of months in the new house. One Sunday, I got the wise idea that I would try a pinterest project and make him an upholstered bed. I loaded the boys in the car and off to Ikea we went (Carter was at work). Monday, September 29, 2014. The beginning of apple season. Preston's class made baked apples last week and I went in to help! Another mother took pictures of all of the kids with her real camera so I hope to add those pictures soon, but in the meantime. The apple corer/peeler device was so cool that I went straight to Bed Bath and Beyond after I left the school and picked up one. Preston and Luke were responsible for making our dessert that night! We are having another beautiful little girl! Miss Jameson Gail Collins looks perfect so far and is right on target with a due date of August 13th! Chris is currently looking for night shift work if anyone is hiring! He is a little frightened at being outnumbered and more hairbows and shoes but is very excited, even if he did say he was going to the pound to find him another male dog on the way home! I will post ultrasound pictures soon! She is doing fabulous and is like a different child!
