This is the story of our family's journey of hope. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Back in July, I joined a local organization called the Walla Walla Gleaners. This is a volunteer-run organization which coordinates gleaning of fruit and vegetables from local individuals and farmers. The idea is to create less food waste and to help those in need as well. Much of what is gleaned is donated to local food banks to help the less fortunate. I am so excited to be able to enjoy these things! Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

This is the story of our family's journey of hope. Thursday, April 18, 2013. This week has been surprisingly relaxing. My sister and I have been able to take it pretty easy and not feel rushed to do much of anything. Caden has had lots of quiet time watching DVD's to allow his body a chance to heal. When he's not watching DVD's, he is usually trying to overdo it and that makes me nervous! He also wants to take rides on the elevator at Ronald McDonald House just for the heck of it. This is the story of our family's journey of hope. Saturday, June 30, 2012. The last couple days we spent in California the kids played hard with their friends. It is so hard to move away from your best friends and not know when you are going to see them again. We were so happy to get to spend this time together and the kids had so much fun. They slid for so many hours they ended up with bruises all over themselves from throwing themselves to the ground! Brayden (7 1/2 yr), Kyler (6 yr), Ellie (4 yr).

I haven't been very productive in the last two weeks as I feel like I am still recovering from all the stress leading up to surgery, the surgery itself, and trying to keep Caden from doing too much now that he feels great!
