Just a 27 year old gal trying to beat Breast Cancer through laughter…. 1 year, 4 months and 18 days out…. October 1, 2012. So I missed my year out post. I was very busy living my life. It has been a whirlwind of a year to say the least. I think about the past year all the time and still can’t believe that happened. I definitely think you deal with a little PTSD after cancer but overall I would say I am doing pretty darn good. So what have I been doing to get over all the mental mind games of cancerland?

It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all. Laura Ingalls Wilder. I will have to say that yesterday was one of about the best Easter Sunday's I have had. Why? I'm not really sure.was it because? My Mom looked the best she has in many months. My family was all together. We sat a a big round table so conversation was easy. The food was e. My kids seem happy and in a good place in life. Jake and Abby were so fun. All of the above! Thank you Lord for answering all my prayers!

The Mr. and I are preparing for a long overdue vacation and I have to figure out how to pack for a 10-day long vacation in one carry-on bag! This is coming from a girl who worked a one day football camp in PA and took a large fully loaded suitcase so she could have options! It's long enough to have missed probably a good year of shavings! Why is it when I try and get every last hair shaved off my legs before donning my bathing suit and heading out to the pool, do I finally get to the pool, unload all my stuff, set-up my space, sit down in the lounge chair and find ONE LONG HAIR on the back of my leg! While these past 2 years seemed to have flown by at the same time it seems so long ago! My Mom was a loving Mom, Wife, Mother-in-Law and devoted Grandmother. Fundraising for Lou's treatment. February 17th, 2017. It is with such a heavy heart that I have to share the news that our beautiful, inspiring and amazing mum has passed away. She died so peacefully in dad’s arms at home on the evening of Wednesday 15th February. We had all been with her moments before. Mum’s heath had deteriorated rapidly over recent days. While it happened so quickly, it meant that mum didn’t have to worry or be in any discomfort for long and we take so much comfort from that.
