Vitor Leite Research Group - Theories and Simulations in Protein Folding
Vitor Leite Research Group. Our group works mostly on the protein folding problem. The accepted theory known as energy landscape, uses the funnel potential energy as a fundamental concept in the understanding of protein folding. Using minimalist and coarse-grained models we address basic aspects of the problem such as role of hydrophobicity, frustration, hydrophobicity and topology in folding process, and visualization and quantitative descriptors for the folding funnel.
