Located in the University of Irvine, one might say that it’s somewhat of a hidden gem. A secret well known among the students and their friends. The Boiling Crab is one of my favorite casual restaurants because the style of the place is very unique compared to other restaurants. The Boiling Crab doesn’t just serve crabs (sometimes they don’t even have it because blue crabs are seasonal) but a lot of other variety including shrimp, oysters, lobsters and more. But what so special about The Boiling Crab? And it has really good service although it is usually crowded.

The plates they give are huge, you might think you will be able to finish it but don’t be fooled you will most likely take a box home with you.
