The Land and The House Plan. Saturday, April 12, 2014. Landscaping phase two: Paver Patio. We have been buuuusssssy outside these last few weeks! The weather has finally gotten nice and warm! Our first phase was the mulch bed in the front yard and some tree planting. After digging the dirt, we laid a landscaping fabric to help prevent weeds in the future. Friday, September 13, 2013. We did the pre-settlement/final walk-through this morning with our awesome PM Dave. It took about 90 minutes and he went over everything in every room and things like warranties, service calls, lawn maintenance, etc. The items to fix are tiny and we are very happy with everything about the building process. I didn't take many pictures at all because not much had changed since my last visit. The one thing I really wanted to see was our oven installed:. Closing at 9am Monday!

Saturday, June 29, 2013. And the work begins! In June we had our pre-construction meeting with our Project Manager, Dave. He seems very competent, very easy to talk to and very calm.all qualities I appreciate in the man directing the building of your home. The view from the back of our house - a view that soon will never be again, ha ha. Framing was supposed to start this past week but we had severe thunderstorms every day. Ergh. Building a Strawbale House in Pecos, NM. December 28, 2011. Since finishing the outdoor plastering in early November, we’ve made a big push to finish everything indoors enough to move in. The first thing that needed to happen was plastering inside, especially on the straw walls. The ‘inner’ walls (the ones between rooms) were important too, but not as important as covering up the straw. We were so tired of looking at the straw!
