The Miller and Hayes families came to this area about 1795, when they were merely squatters on the land. Thomas Miller, Jr., was born to Thomas Miller, Sr. and Priscilla (Hayes) Miller on 8/4/1795. Thomas Miller, Jr. married Abigail Bush on 8/2/1814. They had 8 children, with one dying in infancy.
