Romania Volunteer Project 2015. This is the third successive year of this project in Romania. Each summer, a group of university students have gone over to Bucharest to work in an orphanage; cleaning, painting, interacting with the children and the staff along with some time-out to get to know a bit more about the Romanian culture and people. ACADEMIC RESULTS FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT SOCIAL OUTREACH. At Glenard, students are encouraged to give back to the community. Is a charity which has its main office in Glenard. This charity pairs volunteers with the elderly. 8203;Glenard organises social projects in Ireland and abroad. More recent projects have been in Romania, Kenya, Lithuania, Israel and Poland where we have worked with local NGOs in orphanages and home for the elderly. Glenard offers to opportunity to volunteer a Glenbeag Youth Club.

Glenard's conference room is a perfect place to practise your college presentations in front of an eager audience. This year two of our residents practised presentations they needed to give in college and we learnt all about Empire. Loyalism and Unionism in Australia and Ireland. The Development of Surrealism. Residents got to speak to young professionals in their area and in turn spoke to secondary school girls about their courses and what it will be like for them when they start their college experience.
