As the lemmings used to say : LET'S GO! Dinsdag, november 05, 2013. Peru 2013 - Dag 9 - Colca Valley and Arequipa. Tour tour with small group to Colva Valley. Tour bus to Arequipa. Hotel Hostal Mirasol, Arequipa. The extremely kind and helpful landlady organized a tour at 06:00 to Cruz del Condor, which is a view point where the condor can be viewed in the morning. This area is seismic active. A small earthquake happens here every week. The valley is used for adventure sports: trekking, cycling, rafting.

As the lemmings used to say : LET'S GO! Zondag, november 03, 2013. Peru 2013 - Dag 7 - Lake Titicaca. In Puno I started to get ill. Stomach hurting and diarrhea. So our boat trip next morning was not relaxed. Fortunately the boat had some kind of toilet. What we suffered most was the cold wind. We were not sufficiently dressed. We agree with most tourists that the lake is not worth the travel. Puno and the lake may be interesting for historians, the place is not beautiful enough. Zondag, november 03, 2013.

As the lemmings used to say : LET'S GO! Maandag, mei 29, 2006. Vrijdag met de gehele Diktari ploeg (Mark, Dick en Maarten) naar Scheveningen geweest. Allereerst naar Vis, de landrover materialen specialist. Daarna een visje/mossel in de regen aan de haven en een lokaal-gebrouwen bier dat unaniem werd afgekeurd. Sunday, December 21, 2008. It is snowing the whole weekend already. First we had a snowstorm that started on Friday and only stopped Saturday night, which left about 25 cm and today. Today - Sunday - another snow storm coming from the Great Lakes is expected to drop another 15 cm or so. Picture on the left is from yesterday (Saturday). Tomorrow it is supposed to be very cold (-13C); there is going to be a lot of wind too so with the windchill it will be feeling below -20C easily. Waar is de sneeuwpop?
