I "borrowed" the term from architecture and design. Is light that travels through one space to illuminate another. It's ephemeral by nature, dancing off the walls, floors and ceilings within each unique space. In the end it’s never quite the same as it was originally, affected forever by the rhythms of space, time and place. This seems to be the way photography works. Maybe the idea is better illustrated.
