A Tribute to a Blue Star Mom. Of Louisiana Chapter 1. Welcome to the Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana. We are Louisiana's oldest chapter of Blue. Star Mothers. The honor of being a Blue Star Mother was given to us by our children who are serving in the United States Military. Our chapter was chartered on March 15, 2005 with the National Blue Star Mothers of America. We work extremely hard in supporting our troops, military families, and our Gold Star Families.
