beta cite: Monday of the week and term
http://betacite.blogspot.com/2010/09/monday-of-week-and-term.html
Documenting Existence at Point B. Friday, September 24, 2010. Monday of the week and term. Over the weekend I can’t say I did much, Saturday especially. Then again, I think I needed the break. Sunday was lovely, however. We did our first little group field trip up to Hampstead Heath for a picnic. The view from Parliament Hill is quite the draw, with the whole city laid out to one side and the nicely wooded hills of Highgate on the other. Today was orientation for our students. Tomorrow will be nice.

Documenting Existence at Point B. Thursday, December 16, 2010. So, it's late at night, and I'm packed and ready to go. I fell down on the job with this blog after a while (though many of you will remember that I did, in fact, predict its decline), but I am planning on a more extensive reflection of my trip over the next month or so. Will this be regular and consistent? Will it even happen? I don't know. I can't tell you if it will. We'll see. See you all soon. Signing off from London. Zen and banana bread.

http://betacite.blogspot.com/2010/10/calling-out-inevitable.html
Documenting Existence at Point B. Monday, October 4, 2010. Calling out the inevitable. So, a confession. I've had internet. Back for the last few days, but I've found myself swamped by various commitments. I do have an awful lot to share, including reflections on the first couple weeks, the city, our trip to York, and catching up on the work I wasn't doing while I was doing all of those things. Note up for the next few weeks. yeesh. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Know That Which Has Come Before.

http://betacite.blogspot.com/2010/09/move-in-days-day-3-4.html
Documenting Existence at Point B. Friday, September 17, 2010. Move in Days (Day 3-4). Yesterday (Thursday) I checked out the various places our students will be attending classes: the Barbican Center and Guildhall for our music and drama students and City University London for everyone else. Also, got moved into our flats. They’re nice, but I don’t have a desk. I do get a room to myself, which is good, but it still has the two beds (they're all at least doubles). Documenting Existence at Point B. Sunday, September 20, 2009. It lives again. Again. So, it's been awhile. I'm fine, how are you? A lot has happened. I'm safely ensconced in Denver (Colorado, not Denver, North Carolina. This is a fairly critical distinction) and in my studies. I've managed to kill an entire week of graduate school without it killing me back. Of course, it's hard to know if you're back in the swing of the quarter system until it takes a swing at you. beta cite: Day 2
http://betacite.blogspot.com/2010/09/day-2.html
Documenting Existence at Point B. Friday, September 17, 2010. Having returned from the pub). After I managed to roll out of bed at 11 am on Wednesday (a good sleep, if I do say so myself), Ann took me on a walking trip down in the heart of London. Okay, beginner’s description. It may not have been the “heart” of London, but I saw some of the famous stuff. We took the tube down to Leicster Square and checked out some of the theatres and half-priced ticket booths. Cauliflower soup was quite good, though.

Documenting Existence at Point B. Saturday, April 25, 2009. Spring Book Promotion, Part 2. So it's been a while since I've been on here, but a lot's been going on. I did, however, want to continue my book promotion thread, so for anyone looking for a good read, check out Aaron Gwyn's The World Beneath. Which is now available from Norton (The link will take you to Amazon). If you want a preview of Aaron's stuff, check out Esquire online and his latest short story, "The Gray.". beta cite: Internet BAD!
http://betacite.blogspot.com/2010/09/internet-bad.html
Documenting Existence at Point B. Friday, September 24, 2010. So, apologies for not updating. There's currently no internet in my flat or in my office, and the sum total for work for two separate IT people over the course of FIVE DAYS has not yet solved that issue in either location. I'm sitting in a stairwell borrowing a signal from another flat. I'll spare you any quips about the British once controlling a large portion of the world. Cheers (as they say). http://betacite.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Documenting Existence at Point B. Monday, February 9, 2009. In the first entry of a two volume set this spring, I'd like to plug a book. Check out Kyle Beachy's. From Dial-Random House, take a look @ Amazon.com. I got an advance look (way in advance.) a few (like, 6) years ago at the School of the Art Institute, and the final product is a fantastic read that kept me awake long after I finished it (and this was at 2am, mind). So check it out. Buy it from an independent bookseller if possible. Statement of...
