Haiti Poster Project - Spoolia

W Millar and Co. Catering. Mayors' Institute on City Design. On January 12, 2010, Haiti was hit by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that left the area devastated. The Haiti Poster Project was a collaborative effort by designers who wanted to raise awareness and aid the people of Haiti. Posters were signed and printed by designers and sold for Haiti's benefit. Spoolia's poster printing was generously donated by Westland Enterprises, Inc. All proceeds benefitted Doctors WIthout Borders. The Haiti Poster Project.

We think there's no better place to hunt for fun facts and artifacts than at the Smithsonian. Lucky for us Smithsonian Enterprises agreed and was working on a virtual tour that would take kids and families through such an experience. They asked us to layout the interactive tour and come up with an overall look and graphic icon series that would appeal to kids and parents.

DC Arts District - Spoolia

DC Arts District wanted to brand several adjoining Washington DC neighborhoods by launching a streetlight-banner campaign in the winter of 2011. 165 banners were hung in the U Street, Shaw, Logan and DuPont Circle neighborhoods right before the the new year. The logo, branding, and banners were created to reinforce the idea of these adjoining neighborhoods as The Arts District. GDUSA American Graphic Design Award (2012).

This year's theme was Origins and Migrations. We provided a series of posters that integrated landscapes, horizons and the human element. The final designs integrate common elements like landscapes and typography with artwork tailored to each story's narrative. We look forward to attending the shows this season!
