All about ventilation and more…. Work Smart, Not Hard…. Setra Pressure Transwhat…. On April 13, 2011, in news. Now that spring has sprung, many of us are experiencing allergies and assorted maladies relating to pollen in the air. Getting rid of those irritants is important, specifically inside the home, as there is no hiding from them outside. I was heating the attic in sub-freezing weather. Not good (or cheap! All about ventilation and more…. ECM motors on whole house fan…. On June 30, 2010, in cool products. The latest trend we see in whole house fan design is the inclusion of ECM motors (electronically commutated motor). Match that with an efficient blade and you get a great power profile and low noise. This tickles my engineering senses to the point I will probably upgrade my trusty AirScape 1.7 WHF with this new unit. More on AirScape Whole House fans including the 4.4e WHF:. All about ventilation and more…. Kitchen Make-Up Air…. On October 12, 2011, in news. It is now time to discuss the elephant in the room when it comes to kitchen ventilation…make up air. In elementary terms, it is as simple as “what goes out, must come in”. Now then, what can we do about all this to get air to the kitchen hood? For the rest of us…mechanical make up air must be provided, and here are some ideas:. A self contained filtered, heated make up air fan similar (but smaller) that a restaurant uses...
