May 15, 2015. Howto : Solve Sudoku Programmatically using Backtracking. Solving Sudoku is fun.Writing code is more fun. What more fun can there be, than writing code to solve Sudoku? I attempted to do that using backtracking. Sudoku board is represented as a char array of size 81 (9*9), one element for each cell. Each cell can hold values from 0-9, 0 denoting an empty cell.
