July 13, 2015. July 21, 2015. There is no greater joie de vivre than stumbling upon a French festival. This particular Sunday, Circular Quay was its usual bustling hive of activity but with an added air of sophistication. To my delight, rows and rows of market stalls were selling the best of the best of French culture adorned in red white and blue as the French population of Sydney (and its admirers) came out to celebrate the fete de le revolucion; Bastille Day. I passed delicate and artistic petit fours...

Kitchen Riffs: Tuna Noodle Casserole

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Corn Flakes Top this 1950s Classic. Many home cooks in the 1950s were mad for the new convenience foods — canned this or powdered that. Although many of these items had become available earlier in the 20th century, they reached their zenith of popularity in the 50s. Tuna Noodle Casserole was the quintessential 50s dish. It required boxed noodles! And a topping of boxed cereal! How wonderful— you could make it without any. And amazingly enough, it was also a pretty good dish.

Trying to justify a habit – cook a new recipe from every cookbook I own in a year – well maybe a bit over a year! Getting to know my Smoker →. In My Kitchen – June 2012. June 2, 2012. In my kitchen is some kitchen gear from the US. Our son is doing the around the world trip this year and he turned 21 last week. TOP NOSH : A Canberra Food Blog: Silo Bakery
http://topnoshfood.blogspot.com/2013/04/silo-bakery.html
TOP NOSH : A Canberra Food Blog. Saturday, April 20, 2013. Decided to hit up Silo Bakery in Kingston, since I was in the neighborhood and I've always wanted to try it. Every time I've tried it's been packed or closed. Today it was busy and all the tables taken, but the service was fast and we were out of there in no time. My sister and I shared a giant slice (two in one) of the Chocolate mousse tart with apple and berries, while sitting outside in the sun. All I have to say is: GREAT GOGGALLYMOOGALLY!

About the blog & author. Food and Restaurant Reviews. Weight loss & surgery. June 11, 2015. June 11, 2015. Last month I had the pleasure of attending a Canberra food blogger meet up, organised by the lovely Liz from Bizzy Lizzy’s Good Things. At the impressive Pialligo Estate. I was welcomed out of the cold night by a roaring fire, leather couches and canapés! If only every day ended like that! You can see the kitchen from the main dining area, but we were relocated to the more intimate back area of the ...
