Pen the Tale: March 2008
http://simridavis.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 16, 2008. Out of sheer need to get something else up here, I now share some photos. A bit of boredom played out in hairdos. Yeah, yeah, I know he's a boy. It's still cute. A little Church Easter Eggstravaganza fun. Posted by Pen the Tale. Thursday, March 06, 2008. I cannot believe we are having two huge snow events in one week in March in Texas! We just came back in from playing in the falling snow. I cannot explain to you how HUGE the clumps of snow are right now. Posted by Pen the Tale.

Pen the Tale: October 2009

Wednesday, October 28, 2009. One of the most beautiful expressions of child-like faith is when my children ask simple, probing questions that touch on the eternal. Their hearts are pondering truths that are not too far off from our seasoned thoughts; we all want to know God - know about Him. I smile because I love to hear my children try to explain the unexplainable. How do we get to God? And that is where I express my faith, by trusting the God who made them to be the God who saves them. And it's Je...

Tuesday, April 21, 2009. How quickly pass the days. And just a word to bring the blog to speed. My hands are sticky with lotion and greatly impeding the typing process. What better excuse than that to close this post with not much said! Posted by Pen the Tale. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Angie, Olivia and Henry. Joel, Courtney and Judah. Pen the Tale: August 2008
http://simridavis.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 17, 2008. The richest of blessings. It's the sadness I think about tonight. I love the way the Holy Spirit works. Being that we are all unique, I can only testify to His specific workings in me. That right there is the greatest of blessings! How very sick the heart is! I am undone before the grace of God. And I am learning to love the gutwrenching beauty of being laid bare before the Wise One. I covet - He overwhelms me with true blessings. I falter in prayer - His Spirit takes over. Not n...

Pen the Tale: February 2008
http://simridavis.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 29, 2008. Breaking my life down in "if.then" statements:. If I wake up on my own, then I can read my Bible in quiet. If I'm in a good mood, then I don't worry about how I look (as much). If I'm uptight about my son being such a picky eater, then I make his favorite Annie Shells and Cheese and watch him eat heartily. If I keep my house clean, then I like it more. If I want to daydream, then I look at houses. If the weather is not so nice and the kids are grumpy, then we go to the library.

Pen the Tale: January 2008

Sunday, January 27, 2008. The bald one goes beardy. I don't know if I'm about to out myself.but I hadn't really noticed the hair growth on my husband's face. Okay, he's always. Facial hair but it is usually contained to around his mouth and possibly as cool chops, but, well, we've entered new depths of hair production on the face region. Ladies, my hubby has a full-grown, mountain man beard. It's, um, how do I say it - poufy! And, now, I'm getting comments from folks at church. I can't remember others bu...

Pen the Tale: Moms Make It Happen...
http://simridavis.blogspot.com/2008/11/moms-make-it-happen.html
Thursday, November 06, 2008. Moms Make It Happen. There is no doubt that Christians are called to follow Christ. And what did Christ do but meet basic needs in a timely manner while revealing great Truths? Raising children (i know not all women have this opportunity). Giving food to strangers. Welcoming God's people into her home. Helping people in need. Always making herself useful. All practical things, all doable, right? One day I prayed that the Lord would help me to enjoy being with my kids and not ...
