SouthBound Cats: May 2012
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 02, 2012. Compliments of Nat Geo. Before taking on water knee deep – their knees, not mine – we puttered into the harbor at Havana. Before anyone could say, “Papers. I need to see your papers,” I was off the boat, off the dock and scurrying like a rat leaving a sinking ship. Nobody paid me any mind. At 4 in the morning even the street sweepers were still. Did I mention Fidel? This cat's human is. Tuesday, May 01, 2012. What I must endure to get a rusty can of Tuna. This cat's human is.

SouthBound Cats: How it Began
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2014/03/how-it-began.html
Sunday, March 09, 2014. Well, The Dij, as Digit is affectionately sometimes called, has made it through the first week of radiation treatment. That little cat has proven tough, handling not only all the vet needles, prodding and other indignities, but being crammed into a pet taxi twice a day and then enduring a four hour car ride back to the farm with her two sisters who by the sound of things thought they were being tortured. Here’s Digit in her own words. I will share my story…. Mentioned I had a bit ...

SouthBound Cats: January 2013
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 24, 2013. Once again she has left me for Hawaii. So you know what that means? Road trip for the cat! If you have been a follower of mine on Twitter for the past few years you know I can’t stand to be left looking out the window for the next six months. Talk about cabin fever! The next year, with an official invitation in my little paws I went to the Royal Wedding and later cruised back to New York on the Queen Mary II. Blame the dog is my motto. Alaska is a beautiful state. Goddess ...

SouthBound Cats: Back to Worcester
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2014/03/back-to-worcester.html
Monday, March 10, 2014. Digit continues her journey to beat lymphoma. Now that I have caught up on my extra hour of sleep (funny how that works with us kitties), I continue…. Off to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Hadn’t been in Worcester since October and I thought I had seen the last of it. I’m really liking the farm life and there was no looking back as far as I was concerned. Hw little did I. On Thursday I had to fast. That’s getting old. Surgery: while maybe a fabulous wa...

SouthBound Cats: Radiation Begins
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2014/03/radiation-begins.html
Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Zonked out for radiation. I’ll tell you how that first week went. Pictures say a thousand words. I got one. Yuck. I don’t know if this was before being zapped or after. As you can see, I was sleeping. We have made it to the 1/3rd mark - WOOHOOOOOO! I had enough poking, prodding, stabbing, zapping for one wee. K How I looked forward to two days off. I was back on the back at the farm for the weekend. Thank goodness. Room to roam (inside only of course). One third of the way through.

SouthBound Cats: April 2012
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 22, 2012. 8220;Do nothing which is of no use.” It wasn’t the jaguar who said that. I had come so far to seek so much. The Jaguar knew it too. He yawned revealing a canyon of teeth, pinnacle monuments to dentistry. “Believe the stories you will,” Foster continued. “Before the end of times you will see the USA's imposed deadline for Iran to cease its nuke development pass. That date is 9/21/2012. What will happen then? If I could blush I guess I would have. Foster held up one claw. It gle...

SouthBound Cats: Travel Episode
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2014/03/travel-episode.html
Monday, March 17, 2014. Traveling with cats is always a challenge. Here Digit explains a little episode that occurred in the car on the way back to Worcester. I've done so much travel I'm use to car rides, boat rides, train travels and now even planes, but I've never seen a peep go to such troubles to transport a kittehn. Back to Worcester and Tufts, but this is the last week of torture.I mean "treatment.". She was crying like she had to go about halfway there and it’s like a 16 minute drive. To see what...

SouthBound Cats: February 2014
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 18, 2014. His cooperation was hard to get. He wanted to arm wrestle for the opportunity. I told him I would not charge him three Blue Fin Tunas for his opportunity to sit with me! My peeps and his peeps kept negotiating. We decided to settle the matter over the outcome of the USA verse Russia hockey game. If Team USA Hockey lost to Team Russia then I'd pay him for the portrait. Otherwise, he would just shut up and take the photo. This cat's human is. Monday, February 10, 2014. I like cr...

SouthBound Cats: March 2011
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. Big week. Final preparations for the wedding. Not the Royal Wedding. That’s in April. But the shin-dig in Chicago where Rosie and Cheeto’s peeps are saying “I do.” (I do what? Feed the cat, of course.) This means one thing. Living conditions for this week will become deplorable as attention turns toward all the fancy schmancy preparations. Perfect time for a revolution. Oh, maybe I am talking about internal working order? Here’s the plan:. Day 1 Let the revolution begin. We sh...

SouthBound Cats: April 2011
http://southboundcats.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. The Cobra and the Mongoose. Before leaving the States on board The Mother Lode. With mongoose in the bag, I had no fear of the deadly snake. Mongoose can make short order of the venomous reptile. Once I located the missing cobra I told her about the mongoose stashed in my bag. By then he was pretty hungry. Her response, predictable. “Say no more.” Wasn’t it strange how she was “discovered” the very next day? This cat's human is. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blog Hall of Fame.
