And, we added an etagerie over/behind the toilet to create a space to store clean towels, and extra toilet paper. They are fairly small improvements in the grand scheme of things, but combined with a full scrub-down of all the surfaces, the washing of all towels and rugs, and a reorganization of the cabinets and drawers, it feels like a brand new bathroom! I don't have any "before" pictures because the bathroom was just too dirty for me to take a photo! But here's the end result. View from the window.

What a difference a year makes! Here is our little hedgehog last year, with Mommy, helping pick out a Christmas tree:. And here's my big boy this evening, helping pick out this year's Christmas tree. What a wonderful year we had watching Nathan grow. We are so blessed to be his Mommy and Daddy. We are excited for all that 2011 has in store for us, and can't wait to see Nathan's personality bloom even more as he approaches 2 years old! Please disregard the bare leg! I promise he didn't freeze!

One year ago today. I looked like this:. This was basically the last photo taken of Ben and I (and Sydney) as just our little family of two. The next day our sweet baby boy was born. Happy Birthday Eve, Nathan! Mommy and Daddy love you and have so enjoyed the first year of your life. We can't wait for the next year! Here are some photos of the completed deck with the new furniture, too. Screened Porch with new rug. New patio dining set. Family chairs. Love the mini one for Nathan. Nathan loves his Daddy.

Somehow, nearly two months have already passed since Nathan's big Birthday party. Wow. We had a party for him on Saturday, June 19th. It was a hot day, but we were determined to have the party out on our new deck. (Sorry, guests! Here are some pictures from our fun afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came! Nathan trying not to share his ducks with Miss Meredith. She was a good sport about Nathan's hogging though. What other hot dogs could we possibly have for Nathan's big day? Singing to the birthday boy.

Maybe this blog thing doesn't work for us :) I never post! Though, I don't even know if we have any readers (hello out there? I'll just recap our summer in one post. Ben and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary in July. Nathan and I met Ben at a park in Benson for a picnic lunch. No pictures of Ben and I together, strangely. But we each got pictures with our little boy. In August, Nathan got his first haircut. He hated it! All done, and so handsome! November 24, 2010 at 9:17 PM. October 20, 2012 at 2:25 AM.

Just two pictures of my two favorite boys. I love my boy's beautiful eyelashes. For Nathan's actual Birthday, we spent the day as our little family of three. We played for a little while together in the morning, and then after Nathan's morning nap, we all went to Durham. We had lunch at Tyler's at ATC, and then went to the Museum of Life and Science.
