Oh, Kay! |

To Be Or Not To Be Manic. A Heads-Up For My Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Friends! August 14, 2015. I have mentioned a young woman in my life named Kay, often in my previous posts. She is a gem of a person and like no-one else I have ever met…or ever will for that matter. Kay came into our lives over 10 years ago through our church. She was the maid of honour for the daughter of friends and was part of the youth group we helped out with. Well, since I had my “stroke-like” symptoms awhile a...Kay makes...

Too Good to Be True! To Be Or Not To Be Manic. August 13, 2015. I think last night might have been the closest I have come to a manic (more like hypomanic) high in a very long time. The best thing about it is that I recognized it and made a decision that I did not want to go there. My awesome hubby let me sleep and I woke up just before Kay called to tell me about her morning appointment. Hubby had fed the fur-kids and I had just enough time to make his main meal and sandwiches for work. I had bipolar fo...

When Mental and Chronic Illness Collide. A Spoonie's Journey. What is ‘Living Without Limits? Zebra Unicorns in the ER. As unpredictable as my illnesses can be, there is one pattern I consistently follow. It repeats about every three months. The first thing to happen is I notice a sharp uptick in my pain levels. When Mental and Chronic Illness Collide. A Spoonie's Journey. What is ‘Living Without Limits? Last night, someone from my past contacted me to make amends. It was a very random message, as he even admitted it was completely out of left field. He claimed to have been mean to me, but that must have been a rough part of my life that I blocked out. But this message reminded me–It’s never too late to make amends. I’m lucky to have a good core group of friends, my ride or dies, that have been with me thr...

Thoughts from my adventures of college beyond. A Belated Brighton Blog Post. Soooo a few weeks ago, I went on a trip with my program to Canterbury, Dover, and Brighton! It was so much fun, I can’t believe it has taken me so long to write about it! I’ve gotten really behind at writing blog posts latel...

Get To Know Me. For the last little while I feel like I've been neglecting this space. I've always come here when I've felt the need to say something, or just share something. Sometimes I came here because someone asked me to write about or share something specific. But for the most part, whenever my mind needed emptying, this right here is where I came to empty it. I promise, from the deepest depths of my soul, that this is not the end or a breakup. Just give me a minute. My Travelling Anxiety Story.
