Beacon Hill Brewing

Monday, March 15, 2010. I can look back over the past few years and say without a doubt, everything good that has happened has happened because of beer. It started quite a few years back, when Ice House was the good stuff.but the obsession didn't really start until Jano. Invited me to brew with him 6 years ago. I broke his hydrometer while I was "helping" clean up, and thank baby jebus. Was invited back. The hydrometer was replaced, and I still continue breaking the hell out of them to this day. I've see...

Beacon Hill Brewing: Cascade Brewing

http://beaconhillbrewing.blogspot.com/2009/04/cascade-brewing.html

Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Not really sure where to start. It's been a while since my last post. The period key on my lap top is completely FUBAR, and there is no fixing it. It's kind of put in dent in my willingness to post using a ballpoint pen to press down on the spot where the period key once was. Luckily, the lovely Bekky has let me use her awesome laptop while she is away in Europe. I finally made it down to Art Larrance's Racoon Lodge and Cascade Brewing. And Cuvee de Castleton. Beacon Hill Brewing: March 2009

http://beaconhillbrewing.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 9, 2009. Russian Imperial Stout brewed! We got the Russian Imperial Stout brewed down at The Powerhouse over the weekend, hit a gravity of 1.106 and now it is doing it's thing. This beer will age for a few months and be put on tap around August/September ( mmmm. 10% beer in late summer). In the meantime, we found a wet bourbon barrel that will be filled with 50 gallons of finished stout, aged for a while and tasted periodically. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Diary of a Beergeek.

The Vanguard and I: MARS, b*tches!

http://thevanguardandi.blogspot.com/2008/05/mars-btches.html

The Vanguard and I. Life on the cutting edge while trying not to go over it. Tuesday, 27 May 2008. I am super excited about the success of the Phoenix Mars Lander. I actually cried watching the mission control celebration (I always do at these). When I was little I wanted to be an astronaut, and I am still a total astronomy freak. But the point is, all of this reminded me of my absolute favorite Dave Chappelle sketch: Black Bush. (the bit on Mars is at the very end). 16 June 2008 at 06:38.

The Vanguard and I. Life on the cutting edge while trying not to go over it. Sunday, 1 June 2008. Beer can solve your problems, or, Lenfestys kicking ass. Well, today shaped up to be slightly better than yesterday's freakshow. I successfully managed to re-write 12 pages of my experimental design without shedding a single tear and now I am caring for myself with a nice glass of Leffe (in a matching glass nonetheless courtesy of Erin's shining moment of kleptomania in an Edinburgh pub.). Good on ya, bro.
