Finished object alert #2: a dishcloth | A Year in Craft
https://ayearincraft.wordpress.com/2015/02/10/finished-object-alert-2-a-dishcloth/comment-page-1
A Year in Craft. Craft, books and some other stuff. The completed projects list. Finished object alert #2: a dishcloth. February 10, 2015. I’m almost embarrassed to claim this towards the finished object total. Dishcloths are so utilitarian, not exactly an expression of artistic …anything. But I needed another dishcloth and this was the result of a couple of hours work with a hook. At least it keeps my hand in with the crochet…. Pattern: made up, but basically a big DC square. Disaster strikes ! | A Year in Craft

A Year in Craft. Craft, books and some other stuff. The completed projects list. May 7, 2015. So I just opened my knitting bag after lugging it about yesterday and found this:. Am just about to turn the heel on the second sock and yes, that’s every needle which is in use snapped in two. I could cry. I’ve salvaged it onto a spare pair of needles in the same size but still, a whole set of needles gone. Sorry been a bit AWOL. Finished object, erm, 7? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A Year in Craft. Craft, books and some other stuff. The completed projects list. All posts by Vicky A. August 26, 2015. So here’s some news…. We’re of to Cyprus! Moving in January for about 3 years or so. The yarn stash is coming with me, of course…. So I’m an idiot. August 8, 2015. Did I mention I’m just a tiny bit forgetful? I did the only thing one can do in such situations: I wound up a ball of bright pink sock yarn and cast on a new sock:. One comment so far. August 3, 2015. June 9, 2015. Ok so I do...
The return of the prodigal knitting! | A Year in Craft
https://ayearincraft.wordpress.com/2014/08/26/the-return-of-the-prodigal-knitting/comment-page-1
A Year in Craft. Craft, books and some other stuff. The completed projects list. The return of the prodigal knitting! August 26, 2014. However, by a stroke of good fortune my knitting has been returned to me! I overjoyed at its return. The cardi is now too small, so needs ripping back and re knitting. Anyone got any good pattern ideas for a simple cardi for a 2-3 year old? Yarn is a DK, possibly a light DK if we’re being honest. Variegated white / pink and a bit gopping. Wedding blanket finished →.

Observations on a life. Just another random blog site. Love is all around. 8220;Political correctness gone mad! November 3, 2014. Is it just me, or are people complaining about political correctness basically complaining about having to treat others with respect? At what point does someone’s right to their opinion mean another loses their right to not be discriminated against? Like to knit or crochet, but mostly love to hoard yarn. Cheese is awesome. Observations on a life. Just another random blog site. Living in a box. November 11, 2013. Over the last couple off years the Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA) have been campaigning. For Britain’s new homes to be bigger and have more natural light. In this countrywe currently have the smallest homes in Europe, with the least natural light. Their housing standards report makes an interesting read. To highlight that many new builds are not much bigger. 8211; bedroom had an en suite (but the lar...

Observations on a life. Just another random blog site. Lest we forget →. November 7, 2013. Without being a total techy, I love computers and the internet. Don’t ask me how it works – it’s as magical as electricity to me. Though I did learn last week that it travels between countries in pipes under the sea. How cool is that? But I digress… I’d even go as far as to say email was invented for me (narcissistic, much? I read an interesting article today. I don’t think it’s as simple as that, and I...Lest we f...

Round, round | Observations on a life
https://observationsonalife.wordpress.com/2013/10/27/round-round
Observations on a life. Just another random blog site. Put a sock in it. October 27, 2013. Knitting in the round is one of those things I’m trying to get to grips with. I’ve been attempting the socks on dpns, which frustratingly results in small ladders between the two needles. Durant matter how tight I pull the yarn, I still get the ladders. Moving on, I’m trying this jumper. From Tin Can Knits. As a jumper is too big for dpns, I’m trying out the magic loop method. View all posts by Jo G →. Living in a ...

https://observationsonalife.wordpress.com/2013/11/10/lest-we-forget
Observations on a life. Just another random blog site. Living in a box →. November 10, 2013. We don’t deal with death very well. This is probably why we don’t deal so well with aging. As time marches on its a constant reminder how life is so fragile, so fleeting. In the blink of an eye, quicker than it takes to blow out a candle, sometime can be gone. I have two Facebook friends who have been dead for a few years. Their profiles sit in my friend list, occasionally reminding me of their passing, their...

Observations on a life. Just another random blog site. Living in a box. Love is all around →. February 9, 2014. I’ve been making sourdough bread on and off over the last year now.
