Tikveš Alexandria Riesling. November 10th, 2007. This wine is characterized by a yellow-green colour, a fresh citrusy aroma with hints of honey and a complex flowery aftertaste. It’s a semi-dry riesling, dryer than the Slovenian rieslings (such as Laski Riesling for example), but sweeter than those found in Serbia. It is a nice wine to accompany a lighter meal. This is another dry red wine from the sunny Čemovsko valley near Podgorica, Montenegro. We’ve covered a few wines from the Plantaže winery in the past and this is probably the poorest of their wines, without much character. Enjoyable only with a meal.
