Bex's Adventures in Life! After spending 2 years as an Australian Volunteer in Bougainville working with a local congregation of Sisters (Sisters of Nazareth, CSN) in a rehabilitation centre, Bec is moving into the next phase, somewhat hesitantly, but life moves forward. So this space continues to be a spot for pics, random thoughts, adventures, stores, and just Bec babble. Especially as the next adventure begins. Who knows what it will bring! Saturday, 17 January 2009. I live a very weird life. So as I ...

Grace, what are you doing?: June 2015
http://gracewhatareyoudoing.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 21, 2015. Hold on a minute. You are more than a worker and what you do forty hours of the week. You are worth more than what you are paid, are more than your title. You are a person. You work with and for other people. We are people first. When did we all forget that? When did we arrive here at this sterile adult. I want a word. That word is no. You the worker who comes alive two out of the seven days of the week. And even if you like your job. Even if you love. That'll get you started.

Mand's Nest: our trip to PNG
http://mandsnest.blogspot.com/2009/05/our-trip-to-png.html
Loving Life in the Berra with Lulu and Mimi. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Our trip to PNG. After 7 years away, I went back to Alotau. Where I lived for 6 years, initially as a volunteer with Australian Volunteers International. I took the girls to meet their Bubus (grandparents) and the rest of their extended family, and we stayed in the village in Milne Bay. What a wonderful adventure. I hadn't realised how much I missed PNG and my friends up there. WOW Mands looks like you had a great time! I'm a Brown Owl.

We are still living in Green Point but our heads are quickly moving to the new location. This week has seen us commence packing up the house so that Bec and Mike can move in early in July. When we pass all the ...
