Tuesday, August 25, 2009. First Thursdays at Assumption. See more of Southern Touch! The Day-Of Myth - What does Day-Of Coordination actually mean? I firmly believe - you can't star and direct your own day! I use this analogy a lot talking with folks. Maybe it comes from my days growing up performing on stage and my love of theater, or maybe because it seems to instantly make sense for people - "well, yeah - of course you can't. You can't be two (or sometimes twenty places) at once.". So, what's the Myth, you ask? Well yes, but how? You can call us, send an em...

Feast of Mary, the Mother of God. What connection the Mother of God has with the New Year and the Wise Men? This is what we are going to find out with the help of the Word of God. The Eucharistic Lord gives us the theme,. 8220;DON’T COMPROMISE IN PAYING HOMAGE TO HIM”. On the New year’s day we celebrated the Solemnity of ‘Mary Mother of God’ because she fully co-operated with God and paid the best homage to her Son by playing her part in the act of salvation. She can guide us all th...As we have celebrat...

Message for the Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time. My dear friends,. Salvation is our final aim in life. ‘Salvation has come to this house’ was the best compliment Zacchaeus from Jesus. How can we bring salvation to our house? The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke 19:1-10 relates the story of a short man Zacchaeus. What a change in him because of the presence of Jesus in his house? What is ‘repaying’ he is talking about? Because he had stolen! If he pays four times what will be left for him. Jesus!

Message for the Sixth Sunday of Easter. Happens to be my 34. Ordination Anniversary, May 27. Being the last day of the school year. Hence we celebrate. This is what Jesus desires, “that they all may be one, as you Father and I are one.". This is how we can come together and be united. He goes on, “For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will of God, than for doing evil.”. This goes to say first of all that we can sanctify the mystical body of Christ by becoming the worthy parts of it, b...

Message for the Twenty-Fifth Sunday In Ordinary Time. I am so happy to meditate with you on how to be TRUSTWORTHY. In the first reading, God through Prophet Amos 8:4-7 reminds us about how we treat the poor and the needy. But, "The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: Never will I forget a thing they have done! And he ends, “It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument.”. Have you ever thought that the care and concern to the poor and nee...

Message for the Third Sunday in Lent. Today’s readings talk about the LIVING WATER. All of us know the great use of water. It is a commodity which God has made available in abundance for our use. In this meditation we will focus on the spiritual side of its usefulness. This is the promise of love. Hence we will not limit it to our physical need but ask for the living water which can refresh our spiritual life. 1) The Samaritan woman came as a sinner who avoids human company. She was only thinking of ...

Message for the First Sunday in Advent. Thanks be to God. He has taken us successfully through one more Liturgical Year. Welcome to walk in the new Liturgical year from November 28th, the First Sunday of Advent. As I welcome you to begin to new liturgical year, I appeal to you to be concerned about the good we have left undone. ‘What good have we left undone? Prophet Isaiah (2:1-5) is advising us to climb the ‘highest mountain’ so that. A) we may instruct us. B) we may walk in his paths. Let us remember ...
