Beginner Blogger: April 2008
http://thoughtsfromchesterhill.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 17, 2008. You Tube and Google video. Very very disappointed with week 6 as I couldn't view anything at work. I,t's next to impossible at home, although I should probably ask my teenages to I understand the concept and would probably find it fascinating. The mind boggles when I think of what is on You Tube and Google Video. If and when I did access it I would probably become addicted to viewing videos of interest. Friday, April 11, 2008. Great word, great concept, very interesting.

Beginner Blogger: Mashups
http://thoughtsfromchesterhill.blogspot.com/2010/02/mashups.html
Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Bkkeeper - waste of peoples time in my opinion. LibWorm - looks good. Visual Headlines - odd way of looking at news. Flickr Memari - fun thing to do. Let me google that for you - ok, but can't you get the same info from a straight google search? Crime Reports - ok but do you really want to know what's happening in your meighbourhood? Walkable - good idea. On the whole, I can see the advantage of mashups. I'm just about to go look at a few. Bye. February 13, 2010 at 2:50 PM.

Sunday, January 17, 2010. I-Google, Ping, 43 MArks and All My Favs. I quite liked I-Google. It was easy to customise even for me. I had a quick look at the others. Was impressed. What on earth is going on out there. Do people do nothing but network? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I-Google, Ping, 43 MArks and All My Favs. View my complete profile.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Do I know what RSS is? Do I now know what RSS Filters are? Do I use RSS feeds? Should I use RSS feeds? Would I use RSS filters? Definately. There is so much out there you need to have filters set up otherwise your inbox will be filled with stuff you really don't want or need. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Beginner Blogger: May 2008
http://thoughtsfromchesterhill.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 5, 2008. Is delicious. Rushed it but i did it. Thursday, May 1, 2008. Now this I really like and find extremely useful. Imagine missing a radi interview or something similar and having the opportunity to download the podcast and hear it, even while on the move on your MP3. Fantastic! This concept could easily work for the library. Think of all the things you could podcast or vodcast for t he public to access. I can just imagine the comments and reviews if my library decided to do this.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Doodle, Google Calender, Eventbrite etc. Interesting. Doodle and Google Calender seem good. I'll just stick with Outlook for now however. I liked both eventbrite and eventful. Interestingly, Eventbrite called my location Fairfield and Eventful called my location Bankstown. Eventful won as I'm actually in Greenacre. Really liked Anyinvite. I should pass that on to my kids. Do I know what RSS is? Do I now know what RSS Filters are? Do I use RSS feeds? Should I use RSS feeds?

Beginner Blogger: IM,Skype etc
http://thoughtsfromchesterhill.blogspot.com/2010/01/imskype-etc.html
Tuesday, January 26, 2010. The libraries that already use these are way out there. It would be nice to see more IT departments embrace such technologies. Considering there is a whole lot of people out there using im, skype etc, you would think IT departments would get on to it. I think customers out there would love being in such contact with their local librarian. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I-Google, Ping, 43 MArks and All My Favs. View my complete profile.

A blog of my responses and reflections on web 2.0 applications and how they relate to my work in public libraries. Should be fun. Friday, December 18, 2009. Use for RSS in council productions. These sort of serialised pamplets have starting coming out with RSS links so staff or interested customers can add them to a reader and keep up to date with the information they contain. I love this idea and wondered if it could be extended to out productions like the council's agendas and minutes? Was really just ...
