The Adventures of Al, Katie, Benjamin, Molly and Nicholas: November 2012
http://www.theroederfamily.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
The Adventures of Al, Katie, Benjamin, Molly and Nicholas. Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Having a daughter with some medical issues has proven to be so challenging and rewarding on so many different levels. While I'm beyond thrilled that her surgeries so far have been successful in making it easy for her to breathe and eat and sleep on her back, the unknown aspect of what is ahead for us is driving me absolutely nuts with worry and fear. Sunday, November 18, 2012. We went to Picture People this weekend and...

The Adventures of Al, Katie, Benjamin, Molly and Nicholas: January 2013
http://www.theroederfamily.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
The Adventures of Al, Katie, Benjamin, Molly and Nicholas. Tuesday, January 15, 2013. January Update - Molly. We also have her first ENT appointment coming up next week. I'm guessing we'll be told to get some ear tubes put in, not that she's had trouble yet. But, that's common for PRS babies. So I'm expecting it. Good thing is that her hearing doesn't seem to be bad at all.in fact, it's quite good! January Update - Benjamin. He had a great Christmas, and we enjoyed watching him experience "the magic" thi...

I blinked and life happened: A spiritual Journey
http://iblinkedandlifehappened.blogspot.com/2011/10/spiritual-journey.html
I blinked and life happened. Sunday, October 23, 2011. I wrote a poem while I was at the retreat and I am really hoping it is the first in a series. The beginning of a journey that started with the realization of where I was and where I want to go. Isn't that how most journeys start? Only, I didn't really realize where I was. My soul is a dry parched land. And my mind is a shattered piece of glass. I cough out the dust. And kick the broken shards to the sky. Oh Lord, Gather me up. Oh Lord, fill my spirit.

I blinked and life happened. Thursday, April 7, 2011. Sometimes the things my kids say are just too stinkin' cute and I don't want to correct them and teach them the right. For instance, L says, "Who's that? Instead of "what's that? So some typical questions from him are: "Who's that, an airplane, mommy? Who's that, ear wax, mommy? Who's that booger on my finger, mommy? Obviously you can tell he's a two year old boy with those questions! Oh, I almost forgot one. L says he wants to go to "Bounce Me! My hu...

I blinked and life happened: Jan 6, 2011
http://iblinkedandlifehappened.blogspot.com/2011_01_06_archive.html
I blinked and life happened. Thursday, January 6, 2011. I haven't posted on my decorating blog in at least a month! I try but I just sort of sit here looking confusedly at the computer not able to put the words that are swirling around in my head into an actual sentence. I am in a slump. No moments of creative inspiration coming from this direction! At Mark's office Christmas party I was asked several times, "what do you do? 5 baths and a stream of consciousness. It's amazing that anyone had babies!

I blinked and life happened. Tuesday, January 18, 2011. The phrase I heard most today was, "My present! 1 he and Lincoln can share toys. 2 he can't touch Lincoln's toys and Lincoln can't play with his. Of course he would choose the one that requires me to know what blasted toy belongs to who, down to the tiny matchbox car! He hates sharing so much that he'll go without the toys he's been obsessing over for days. Ha! Don't even know what they are fighting about here! I think it's about applesauce.
