The Diamond Diggers Tour. Kimberley has some of the oldest and deepest diamond mines in the world, where miners worked a kilometre into the womb of mother earth. Today's modern mining methods coupled with the intricate diamond extraction process has yielded untold wealth. At the Open Mine Museum and the famous "Big Hole" you will taste the ancient Kimberlite dust and relive the digging process of yesteryear while getting to know more about the hectic diamond rush of a century ago. Kamfers Dam is now South Africa's first breeding locality for Lesser Flamingos and by late-January there were more than 10Q0 chicks on the island, with many eggs still to hatch! Sland project is a collaborative project between Ekapa Mining, the dam's landowners (Herbert and Brenda Booth) and the Department of Tourism, Environment and Conservation. It's A Jungle Out There. Friday, March 20, 2015. Well, it happened. I caught one of the diseases that I have been trying to avoid. I thought I was taking all of the right precautions and protecting myself but I guess not. I didn’t realize that it was so contagious. America is a dangerous place. I have seen a few symptoms developing, but yesterday it spiked out of control. I was getting irritated….frustrated…. I was hungry. What was taking so long? Why weren’t people more relaxed? We are an after school and summer care program located in Anderson, South Carolina for children ages 4 to 14. We collect students from many schools in the area (currently: Midway, Montessori, St. Joes, Concord, Clahoun, Southwood Academy of the Arts, Glenn View and McCants) and we have students who are dropped off.
